Terje Riis-Johansen is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on March 15, 1968 in Skien, Telemark, Norway. Terje Riis- Johansen (born 15 March 1968) is a Norwegian politician of the Centre Party who is serving as the County Mayor for Vestfold as well as Telemark until 2020.
He was born in Skien. The politician was elected into his seat in the Norwegian parliament of Telemark from 1993 however he was not reelected in 1997. From 1997 until 1999, during the first cabinet of Bondevik was appointed as a an advisor to the political department of the Ministry of Finance. In 2005, under the cabinet of Stoltenberg became Minister for Agriculture and Food, but moved to another his department after 2008, and was appointed in the position of Minister for Petroleum and Energy. On March 4, 2011, the minister was replaced by his fellow Centre Party politician Ola Borten Moe.
Following in the year 2011 Norwegian local elections, the local centre-right alliance disbanded and Riis-Johansen was elected Telemark’s County Mayor of a new center-left coalition.
