Shibuya played an operative of the Mafia who was a supporter of his leader, who was played by Naoto Takenaka. Shibuya was able to take on small roles as a gangster, detective, lawyer, doctor during this time. Shibuya’s first encounter with computer-generated animation came in Appleseed. His play of four characters was recorded, and then processed into animation by using the “motion capture” technique. Film was edited by Shinji Aramaki and released in 2004 worldwide.
