Taylor Heath Jungmann (born December 18th 1989) is an American professional baseball player in the Texas Rangers organization. He has been a part of Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers and for the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). . Before he made the move to professional baseball, Jungmann played college baseball for the Texas Longhorns, where he was a consensus All-American and also won the Dick Howser Award.
The year 2014 saw Jungmann started the 2014 season for Huntsville and was selected as the 2014 Southern League All-Star. Jungmann also was a part of Nashville Sounds. Nashville Sounds of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League (PCL). The team finished the season with an overall record of 12-10 wins and losses with having a 3.57 ERA, and 147 strikeouts over 153/3 innings. The Brewers included him on their 40-man roster to keep his name from being picked for the Rule 5 draft on November 20th in 2014.
On November 14, 2018, he re-signed with the Giants for the 2019 season.
On January 16, 2018, Jungmann signed with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the 2018 season.
The Milwaukee Brewers selected Jungmann in the first round, making him the 12th overall pick from the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. Jungmann joined the Brewers with the $2.525 Million signing bonus. Jungmann played for Brevard County Manatees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2012 in which he posted an 3.53 ERA, and for the Huntsville Stars of the Class AA Southern League in 2013 when pitching to an impressive 4.33 ERA.

Jungmann is the son of Leland Jungmann and ex-wife of Sharon Burton of Zabcikville in Bell County, Texas Jungmann was a student at Rogers High School in Rogers, Texas. Rogers’ Rogers baseball team took home the Texas 2A State Championship in 2007. He was transferred into Georgetown High School in Georgetown, Texas, where he completed his senior year in 2008.
After graduating from high secondary school Jungmann was accepted into his home school, the University of Texas at Austin where he played in the college baseball team, the Texas Longhorns. The year 2009 was the time Jungmann played a full game in a match against The Louisiana State Tigers in the three-way final in the 2009 College World Series. The following year, he was awarded the Dick Howser Trophy for the best college baseball player. He ended his playing career playing for the Longhorns with a winning-loss record, 1.85 earned run- adjusted average (ERA) and 356 strikeouts in the 45 games he which he started.
Jungmann began the 2015 season with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox of the PCL. The Brewers promoted Jungmann to the major leagues to make his MLB debut on June 9. On July 11, 2015, Jungmann became the first Brewers pitcher in franchise history to throw a complete game at Dodger Stadium. After posting a 3.77 ERA in his rookie season, Jungmann struggled to recapture that form, with a combined ERA of 7.90 in 9 MLB games (6 starts) from 2016 through 2017. He was released on January 10, 2018, to pursue an opportunity in Japan.
