Tanja Fajon (English: Tanya Fayon born on May 9th 1991) is a Slovenian politician and a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Slovenia. She is an active part of the Social Democrats who are which is part of the Party of European Socialists.

Fajon played a significant role in the Albanian citizens gaining the right to travel freely within the EU Schengen Area without visas. The first stage in Albania’s journey towards European Union accession. In December of 2010 a cafe named in honor of Tanja Fajon was inaugurated in her honour in Tirana the capital city of Albania. She was instrumental in helping Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldova achieve freedom from Schengen movement, as well.

As of 2009, Tajon became a member of The European Parliament on behalf of the Social Democrats, associated with the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats. She was vice-chairwoman for the European Parliament delegation with Croatia until the time of Croatia’s entry into the European Union, and a member of the committee on Organized Crime, Corruption as well as Money Laundering.
