Tamar Kaprelian is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on October 28, 1986 in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Tamar Mardirossian (Armenian: T`amar Martirosean , born October 28th on the 28th of October, 1986) is professionally known by the name Tamar Kaprelian, is an Armenian-American musician, singer and philanthropist. Kaprelian started the career path in 2008 after winning a cover competition hosted by OneRepublic and performing “Apologize”. The following day, Ryan Tedder introduced her to Interscope Records executives, and she was signed to the label. She released her debut album Sinner or a Saint in 2010 via Interscope.

The year was 2015. Kaprelian received a call from Public Television of Armenia (ARMTV) to serve as the American representative of Genealogy. Armenian supergroup Genealogy. As an ARMTV member of Genealogy she was a part of Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song “Face the Shadow”, which placed sixteenth. She then tried representing Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 as an individual artist, participating at Depi Evratesil 2018 with the song “Poison (Ari Ari)”.

In February 2017, Kaprelian released a cover of the Armenian folk song “Sareri hovin mernem” with Armenian social entrepreneur and occasional singer Larisa Hovannisian. The song was produced by DerHova and Ben Moody. She later released a cover of another Armenian folk song, “Noubari boye”, in October 2017.

In 2018, Kaprelian announced her participation in Depi Evratesil 2018, the Armenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song “Poison (Ari Ari)”. The song is written by Kaprelian, DerHova, Sebu Simonian, and students from her organization the Nvak Foundation. The artistic stage presentation will be organized by Arthur Gurunlian. The song was released on January 15, 2018. She competed in the first semi-final on February 19, 2018, but did not advance to the final.

In 2015., Kaprelian received a nod from the Armenian radio station Public Television of Armenia (ARMTV) to be the American representative for the Armenian supergroup Genealogy alongside French-Armenian artist Essai Altounian, Ethiopian Armenian singer Vahe Tilbian, Japanese-Armenian-born singer Stephanie Topalian, the Australian-Armenian-born singer Mary-Jean O’Doherty Basmadjian, and Armenian singer Inga Arshakyan. They performed the track “Face the Shadow” during the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna and advanced to compete in the final. They then placed sixteenth in the final, but ended up disbanding shortly following the competition. Following the contest, Kaprelian released the single “The Otherside”, which included guest vocals by Elhaida Dani Elina Born Maria-Elena Kyriakou, Elina Born, and Topalian who all participated in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

Kaprelian began her professional career back in the year 2008 after she won her first contest, the “Apologize” cover contest organized by OneRepublic.
