Taison Barcellos Freda, also known as just Taison, (born 13 January 1988) is a Brazilian footballer who is an attacking middlefielder with Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk and for the Brazil national team.

Taison joined Shakhtar Donetsk on 1 January 2013, for approximately PS12.4 million. Taison was a debutant in the Champions League for Shakhtar during the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund in a draw of 2-2 on the 13th February of 2013. The goal was his debut with Shakhtar and was named Player of the Match after a 3-3 draw against Metalurh Zaporizhya on 19 May 2013, scoring an equalizing score in the second half of the game in the 92nd. Taison made a goal in the 3-0 win against Chornomorets Odesa in the 2012-13 Ukrainian Cup final. On the 10th of July, 2013, Taison scored a goal in the 3-1 win over Chornomorets during the Ukrainian Super Cup. In November 2019 , he was exiled for his reaction to an alleged racial abuse incident, and also received an all-match suspension. In the wake of the incident, Taison has decided to retire from this Ukrainian league.

In May 2018, he was named in Tite’s final 23 man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
