He is also known by the name “Nagashime Oji” (Liu shiMu Wang Zi , “the Sidelong Glance Prince”) .
In October, Saotome will star in the stage production of the Otome game Hakuouki. Saotome has been selected to play vice commander Hijikata Toshizo, from the Shinsengumi.
While he’s not been featured in numerous film, Saotome has a fan of theatre fans and his fan club was formed in the year 2006.
