Barman was the winner of gold at the her 2018 Asian Games, she accomplished this despite suffering a jaw injury. Barman was unable to walk during the final race in the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships – Women’s heptathlon . It was the 800 meters. However, Barman had broken several of her personal records . Additionally, she had already earned enough points from prior six events. She was fourth in the 800m.
