Svetlana Surganova is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on November 14, 1968 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Svetlana Svetganova was born on 14 November 1968 in Leningrad. She never met her parents because her biological mother rejected her shortly after her birth. Svetlana, who was then three years old was adopted by Liya, a Candidate in Biological Sciences. Svetlana began writing her own songs when she was 14. In 9th grade, she formed her first musical group “Kamerton”. She formed her second band “League” during her time in medical school. Surganova was a member “Nechto inoe”, a band that played music from 1988 to 1996. She was a session musician for “KuziaBAND”, a Munmansk-based band.
The band decided to switch from an acoustic style to an electric one at the end of 1998. In 1999, 2 new members entered “Nochnye Snaipery”. The band released its second album, “Detskii lepet”, in the same year. The third album is “Rubezh”. Svetlana Arbenina and Diana Surganova released “Tsunami”, their last album together, in the autumn of 2002. Surganova quit the band in December 2002.
Svetlana Surganova never concealed her homosexuality. In various interviews, Diana Arbenina (a second founder of Nochnye Snaipery), said that she was dating Surganova. The women were together for 9 years, but in 2002 they eventually broke up and Surganova left the band to create her own.
After leaving “Nochnye Snaipery” in 2002, Svetlana Surganova left the band and started her own, “Surganova i Orkestr” (“Сурганова и оркестр”; “Surganova and orchestra”).
Surganova was diagnosed with sygmoid cancer of the colon in 1996. She died at the age of 27.
