Susan Leanne Pettitt (nee Pratley on March 23, 1984) is an Australian netball player on the international stage who plays goal attack or shooter. She is a member of the Australian national team since the year 2006 and has replaced the likes of Eloise Southby-Halbish Megan Dehn, and Cynna Kydd. Before that, she was an experienced athlete as the Captain of both her team, the Australian 21 , and Under team as well as an Australian league player AIS Canberra Darters.

In 2007 Pettitt was a participant at his first 2007 World Netball Championships and she played as goal Attack and Goal Shooter. In the grand final , which was played against The New Zealand national netball team, Pettitt was called to take on the second half in place of Sharelle McMahon. This was a surprising decision made of Norma Plummer to help improve the team’s precision. It went extremely well until Pettitt was struck with an injury to her head that required her to be removed from the game in the 4th quarter. Her performance was sufficient for Australia to be victorious at the 2007 World Netball Championships. Pettitt was chosen in the Diamonds squad in 2010 , which will go to the Commonwealth Games in India. She was not part of the Grand Final against the New Zealand netball team of the national team. However, she did receive the court against Samoa and scored 25/27 (93 percent), India and shot 39/42 (93 percent), Malawi and shot 36/39 (92 percent) as well as Trinidad and Tobago and shot 17/21 (81 percent). Pettitt wasn’t chosen into the 2010 World Netball Championships Squad, which was a major setback for her alongside the likes Erin Bell with her versatility in GS, GA and WA getting in front of Susan Pettitt. The month of November 2011 saw Pettitt joined in the Australian Fastnet Diamonds going into the third Fastnet Series in Liverpool, England and was announced as co-captain along with Bianca Chatfield.

Pettitt was a member of the inaugural ANZ Championship winners the New South Wales Swifts. In the Grand Final at Acer Arena on 28 July 2008 the New South Wales Swifts defeated the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic 65 – 56. Pettitt played GA, shooting 24 goals out of 30 attempts at 80%.

On 10 April 2010, Pettitt played her 100th senior game against the Central Pulse scoring 27/31. Pettitt played her 75th ANZ Championship game against the West Coast Fever in Round 5 of the 2013 season at which she scored 32 goals out of 38 attempts, and notched her 150th combined elite netball games in Round 13 of the same season against the Queensland Firebirds at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

She has been captain of the Australian 21U Team and served as vice-captain for the Australian 21U Team that participated during the World Youth Cup in Fort Lauderdale in which they came third. Pettitt was captain of both the AIS Canberra Darters in 2004 as well as 2005. She completed her netball scholarship at AIS at the close of 2005. She relocated to Sydney in the beginning of the year 2006, and played her first game in Australia in the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games at which she received an Olympic silver medal. The following year, four months later Susan was awarded the title of player of the game after her outstanding display against Silver Ferns in Australia.
