In 2011, the London Marathon she improved her personal best to 2:34.13 hours. This was enough to secure her a spot in the British team for the 2011 World Championships Marathon and she was the first Briton to make it home in 24th position after 2:35.57 hours. She was third at the conclusion of the season San Silvestre Vallecana in Spain becoming only the second European to be able to complete.

Partridge was a road racer during the 2007 season. Her highlights included a fifth place performance in the Great Scottish Run, sixth at the Great North Run and sixth at the Dublin Marathon. Performances dipped in 2009 and 2008, however she showed a return to form in the 2009 Birmingham Half Marathon in October where she took home the title with a record-setting time of 72.50 minutes. She took home at the time of the race in 2010 with the Reading Half Marathon and ran her personal best of 2 minutes 35 57 hours to place 17th in the 2010 London Marathon. After winning the Mansfield Half Marathon and Great North 10K She was a member of Britain during the 2010 European Championships Marathon, taking 16th place, and winning the bronze medal for the team during the European Marathon Cup. The following year, she won her second win of her career during the Birmingham Half Marathon.

Growing up as a child in Oban in Scotland Oban, Scotland, she had her debut international appearances in Great Britain in cross country running. She finished 31st in junior races of the 1998 European Cross Country Championships, and then 89th in the junior race at the 1999 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She has been a two-time Scottish cross country champion at the national level with wins in both 2003 and 2008.
