Patrizio Sumbu Kalambay (born 10 April 1956) is an Italian professional boxer who won the WBA middleweight championship. He was born in Belgian Congo, moving to Italy as a child and that was where he began his training in boxing and is where he resides. The Ring magazine placed him as number 9 in their ranking of “10 best middleweight title holders of the last 50 years” in 2011.

On March 29, 1989 in the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Kalambay boxed without losing IBF middleweight champion Michael NuNN. He was removed from the WBA belt before the fight. It was surprising that Kalambay was eliminated in the first round with just one punch. [1It was the one knock- out loss in his professional career.

In May 1993, at Granby Halls, Leicester, East Midlands, England, Kalabmay lost by unanimous decision to Chris Pyatt in a challenge for the vacant WBO middleweight title.

In May 1987, at The Arena, Wembley, London, Kalambay won the European middleweight title, beating Herol Graham who was 38-0. He was ranked as the #1 fighter worldwide.
