Sultana Frizell (born 24 October 1984) is an Canadian athletes in track and field who competes in the throw of the hammer. Frizell is currently training under the direction by Derek Evely in Kamloops, British Columbia. She was a participant at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing as well as the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Frizell is the previous Commonwealth Games champion in the throwing of the hammer, and is also the Commonwealth Games record holder for the event, as well.
Frizell returned even more powerful in 2009 and also set two national records. She was also able to compete in the first time in a World Championships final and placed 10th at Berlin during the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics. In 2010, she set a new record for the nation. The record of 72.24 meters at the Frankisch-Crumbach Hammer Meeting in Germany. Her season ended with a gold medal as well as a record-setting performance in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. The next time, Frizell won a silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games. In the 2006 season, Frizell returned to her hometown of Ontario for training. She continued to improve and earned her first Canadian national championship in 2007. She was also selected for her participation in the 2007. Pan American Games where she finished seventh. The 1st of November 2007 Frizell moved in Kamloops, British Columbia to learn from the world record-holder of the past Anatoliy Bondarchuk. In the 2008 season, Frizell broke the Canadian senior women’s hammer throwing record four times and increased her personal best by more than three meters. She recorded her personal highest throw at 70.94 meters came in July of 2008, at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Windsor, Ontario. This mark allowed her to compete in her participation in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in which she was 33rd of 50 competitors.

Frizell completed her high school graduation in the year 2003. She immediately began her studies at her first college, the University of Georgia where she competed for three years. In her debut season, Frizell showed tremendous improvement. She finished 9th at the NCAA Championships and third at the Canadian Track and Field Championships. She also made improvements to her personal records in javelin and shot put. The season ended with a record time of 63.36 metres in her throwing hammer. As of 2005, Frizell made her mark higher, reaching 66.42 meters. She improved her position in both NCAA Championships and Canadian Championships placing third and sixth respectively.
Frizell was born in Perth, Ontario and started her sporting career with figure skating prior to pursuing track and field at high school. While at Perth as well as District Collegiate Institute, she competed in the shot throw javelin, discus, javelin and the hammer throw. She was awarded gold medals for shot put and hammer, and silver for discus in the 2003 Canadian junior championships. She also placed fifth in the shot put, and sixth in shot throw at in 2003 Pan Am junior championships. While she did achieved the Canadian High School Record in the shot put, she focused on the throwing of the hammer.
In 2012 Frizell was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
