Stig Andre van Eijk (born March 21, 1981 in Cali, Colombia) is a Norwegian singer, composer and lyricist. Stig van Eijk was an ambassador for reggae and soul music and sold over 250 thousand albums around the world. His music has attracted many people and he has appeared on stages in countries like England, America, Portugal, Colombia, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, Israel, Spain and Australia.

Stig van Eijk long-time frontman of the reggae duo “The Soul Express Orchestra”. The band recorded their first album,”Time For A Change produced by Isak Strand of Knott Records in 2010. The last few years, he’s also been involved in music education at kindergarten, school and various cultural stages in Norway.

In 2015 Stig and his girlfriend, Beate Helen Thunes, released a new childrenproject called Trollala. This is a musical adventure which was introduced to the public in 2015. Through music and learning creates the troll. Children are motivated to go to the mountains to meet Trollala and hear the music. In addition, Trollala a vision of the children to learn at the same time as they play. Trollala has released music and had various performances around in Norway. In 2001 Van Eijk opened in Bergen. It was a live concept , with the house band that played reggae and soul, and the guest was also there. The year 2003 was the time he recorded the hit song “Once In a Lifetime” which won “Idol” in South Africa with the vocals of Heinz Winckler. The song became a huge hit throughout South Africa and became double platinum (100,000 copies).
