He was the holder of the BBBofC English middleweight title both in the years 2005 and 2008.. He also held his IBO Inter-Continental middleweight title from 2001 to 2003.
Bendall returned to prominence as a title winner in June 2008 when He beat his Liverpool’s 2002 Commonwealth Games Silver medalist Paul Smith over 10 rounds in Birmingham. The match was Paul Smiths first loss in his professional career.
His first loss was in September 2004, when Bendall was defeated by an extremely dangerous English boxer Scott Dann during his challenge to his Vacant British Middleweight Title. Bendall then won his English Middleweight Title but then lost the title against Wayne Elcock. Bendall has also fought to defend his EBU European Middleweight Title losing in the third round to the German Sebastian Sylvester and the Commonwealth Middleweight title, which he lost in the 3rd round to Darren Barker.

Bendall was a professional boxer who fought at the national level as an amateur prior to turning pro in the month of May, 1997. winning his first bout in The Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading, Berkshire, England, where Bendall defeated hackney’s Dennis Doyley on an undercard that also included Junior Witter and Tony Booth.
Bendall’s explosive knockout strength led him to beat 14 of his first fights, with the majority of them within the distance. He then was a contender for the title when he faced Brendan Ingle trained Jason Collins in December 2001 to defend his WBU Intercontinental Middleweight Title. Bendall continued to win, beating Collins on points to take home his first professional title. Bendall then won to his collection the Vacant IBO Inter-Continental Middleweight Title in March 2002 after Bendall defeated Ukrainian Viktor Fessetchko.
On 7 December 2013 in Neuwied, Germany, Bendall was given a chance to fight the dangerous Ghanaian John Akulugu for the vacant WBU Middleweight World Title and proceeded to stop him with a 6th-round KO. Akulugu who had won his last 9 fights all by KO was also down in round 2 and round 4. The same month Roy Jones Jr took the WBU Cruiserweight World Title.
