In Japan the song by Barakatt “Kaze To Kino Uta-Quebec 1608” was performed by Japanese musician Sincere. The well-known artist Yoko Oginome recorded Barakatt’s song “We’ll Be Together” and it became the main theme of the show on TV called Shitteru which airs on the NTV network. Barakatt composed “Watashi Dake De Ite” for Noriko Sakai. The instrumental composition “Nuit d’Amour a Paris” was the main theme of the television show Kiss Again on the NHK network. The music of Barakatt has been played in important TV sports shows, including his compositions for the FIFA World Cup 2002 in Japan (NHK) as in his participation in the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco (Fuji TV).

His composition “Sans le Savoir” hit the top 5 on the radio charts, and the video of the song became number one on Musique Plus, Quebec’s MTV.

In 2003, Barakatt was inspired to create a music work of a major scale, by composing and conceiving a symphonic work based on the sixteen stages of human experience. After more than 30 months creating this work, on September 30, 2005, the world premiere of “Ad Vitam Aeternam” was presented at the Grand Théâtre de Québec accompanied by Orchestre Symphonique de Québec.

Barakatt was astonished by many musical experiences at a young age, such as being a an orchestral soloist for the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec at the age of 13. When he turned 16years old, he was captivated with arranging, composition, and production. He absorbed the latest technology available and soon learned all the nuances that music-related programming. In fact, the Japanese company Roland asked him to showcase their latest offerings in the 1992 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
