He played basketball in college at South Plains College, North Carolina Central University and Colorado State before playing professionally in Belgium, Germany, Turkey and with his team the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
On the 21st of July in 2016, Kidd was signed by Tubingen, the German squad Tigers Tubingen for the 2016-17 season. In the 20 games he played for Tubingen the player scored 12.8 scores, 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per match.
On June 28, 2018, Kidd joined the Utah Jazz for the 2018 NBA Summer League, where he averaged 10.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in six games.
On December 20, 2019, Kidd signed with Melbourne United for the 2019–20 NBL season as an injury replacement for Casey Prather.

Kidd went on to win the 2018 EuroCup title with Darüşşafaka.
