In October 2014 he got his first win in the 20th and final race of the ARCA season, the ARCA 98.9 at Kansas Speedway. Gallagher started 32nd, and led the final 32 laps of the race. Later that month, he earned a Truck Series best finish of third at Talladega on a last lap charge through the field.
Gallagher ran the full ARCA schedule in 2014, along with a partial schedule in the No. 23 in the Truck Series, sharing the ride with Max Gresham.
Gallagher began his career as a participant in his first race in the ARCA Racing Series at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2011 and then ran two races. He finished his best at 15th overall in the no. 05 Allegiant Air Chevrolet. He raced the entire 19 races in 2012, securing six top 10s and coming in 7th on the point scale. His performance improved in 2013, when he ran 12 laps lead with five top-five finishes and eight top ten finishes. He was unable to be able to compete in two races and was unable to race following suffering a concussion in Michigan and was relegated to the 10th spot in points. Gallagher was also a participant in five races, but was unable to make it to two races as part of the Camping World Truck Series, and he finished 20th in Texas.

Spencer Gallagher (born November 20 1989) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He has last raced in part-time mode for the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series with the No. 23 Toyota Camry for BK Racing Part-time on NASCAR Xfinity Series, part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 23 Chevrolet Camaro, and part-time the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado for GMS Racing. Gallagher is also the third of four sons to Allegiant Air’s CEO Maurice J. Gallagher Jr. In the year 2018, Gallagher announced that he will be stepping down from full-time racing after the conclusion of the season in order to become a manager in GMS Racing.
Gallagher started racing at the age of 12 , in the Bandolero Bandit Series, then going on towards racing in the Legends Car Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Bullring. Gallagher began to consider his racing ambitions seriously in 2009 following the advice of former owner and car driver T.J. Clark. He was the winner of his first Silver State Road Racing Championship in 2009, as well as his first INEX Legends Road Course World Finals in the year 2010. He also raced six times within the Super Late Model Series with the best result of fourth. In 2011 Gallagher took part in six races with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West followed by two races entries in the East Series in both 2011 and 2012.
