Sot Chitalada (Thai the name: sd cchitrldaa the RTGS name: Sot Chitlada ), born as Chaovalit Wongcharoean (Thai: echaawlit Wngsecchriy ; RTS: Chaowalit Wongcharoen ; 5 May 1962 located in Chonburi, Thailand) was at one time a WBC as well as a Lineal Flyweight Champion, having held the title in the face of nine boxers.
After taking out three more bouts, Chitalada lured Kim for another fight in his home homeland of Thailand. It was Chitalada who was victorious by winning a 12-round decision. Chitalada had four more titles defenses after he won the titles. In his third defense Chitalada won his second appearance within his home in the Western Hemisphere, defeating Richard Clarke with a knockout in the eleventh round on the streets of Kingston, Jamaica, thus keeping his titles. In his fourth defense in the same year, he traveled to Seoul to take revenge for the one other loss of his professional career to Jung-Koo Chang. After the Chang fight on February 15, 1991, Chitalada took on his title defense against fellow countryman Muangchai Kittikasem. Chitalada’s reign ended after he was hit with one of his knockouts, Kittikasem stopping him in Round 6 to claim the title. Chitalada was victorious in two more bouts before attempting to push Kittikasem to a rematch however, the outcome was the same, only this fight ended in a ninth-round draw. The fight was Chitalada’s last fight He resigned and did not attempt to make a comeback.
Chitalada gave stability to Chitalada brought stability to WBC as well as the Lineal Flyweight titles, the six holders of the titles prior to Bernal all lost the belts during their first defenses in the first fight, with Bernal was defeated in his 2nd defense. Chitalada earned a name for himself in the sport of Muay Thai with the name Chaovalit Sithphrabrahma (Thai: Echaawlit sisyphraphrhm ; RTS: Chaowalit Sitphra-phrom ) champion in Thailand before making the switch towards professional boxing. After he won his first four professional bouts He fought WBC Light flyweight champion Jung-Koo Chang in March 1984. He was defeated in an eleven-round decision.

On the 22nd of June, 1985 Bernal defeated Chitalada to an eight-round draw, with Chitalada holding the title. Bernal attempted to fight again 18 months after, but on December 1986, he was unable to win a 12-round fight to Chitalada. It was the last time Bernal tried to win the Flyweight title.
From 2006 to 2007, Chitalada taught Muay Thai at the Muay Thai Institute of Kunponli in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has since moved to teach martial arts in California.
