Solveig Heilo is one of the most popular and richest Musician who was born on December 24, 1981 in Bærum, Norway. Solveig Heilo (born December 24 in 1981) is also known by the name Sol Heilo, is a Norwegian artist, composer musician, musician and music producer. She is also an arranger, music producer as well as a costume designer and designer. Most famously, she is known for the group Katzenjammer.

She later relocated to Oslo to study composition and studio production at the Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio in Oslo (2003-2005) and that is the place the location where Katzenjammer was established with her students Anne Marit Bergheim and Turid Jorgensen Honerud. She began to play guitar as well as the other instruments utilized in Katzenjammer including mandolin, banjo and accordion as well as ukulele, bass the contrabass balalaika, and domra. She also began her career as a vocalist.

After leaving Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio, Sol worked as a freelance musician with several artists, such as keyboard with Bertine Zetlitz, vocal participation and several instruments on the record Diggin Deep (2006) by HP Gundersen, trumpet with Westlife, vocals and drums on several Espen Lind and Stargate recordings, vocals and drums in Magnus Uggla’s band, trumpet on Grand Island’s record Boys and Brutes (2008), vocal on Vinni’s song Mørkredd (2011), mandolin on Thomas Dybdahl’s song Før Morgengry (2011), percussion and vocal with Odd Nordstoga and Kåre Vestrheim on a Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) music video project.

Sol did all the artwork on Katzenjammer’s first album Le Pop (2008) together with her sister Kaja Heilo, and Sandrine Pagnoux. She also participated in the design on their second album A Kiss Before You Go (2011) together with Mathias Fossum and Heydays, and is fully behind all art work on Katzenjammer’s third album Rockland (2015). She has also done most of Katzenjammer’s general artwork for their line of merchandise, such as t -shirt designs, posters, stage designs, early web design and the design of their well known contra bass balalaika Akerø.

From 2000to 2001, she was a theatre and photography student during her time at Buskerud Folkehoyskole (Norway).

At the age of seven, Sol started playing percussion in a marching group, Haslum Skoles Jentekorps. The band immediately demonstrated her skill and understanding of music. When she was 12, she took part as drummer in the Olympic torch relay during in 1994’s Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, along with 10 years older drummers who were part of The Norwegian Academy of Music.

Between 1998 and 2000 Sol was a student at an acoustic high school, Rud Videregaende skole located in Baerum in Baerum, at which point she met Katzenjammer partner Marianne Sveen. Sol introduced her to the band just a few years after.

In 2005 she built a recording studio at Propeller Recordings where she practised recording skills and also produced the first demo record of Katzenjammer together with Johan Wilhelm Schioldborg.
