Sohel Chowdhury (1963-1998) was a Bangladeshi film actor. He was a popular film actor of the 80th and early 90s of Bangladeshi film.
Chowdhury was shot dead on 18 December 1998 outside Trumps Club in Abedin Tower, Banani, Dhaka. On 30 July 1999 Dhaka Metropolitan Police filed murder charges against nine individuals including Aziz Mohammad Bhai. Chowdhury had previously gotten into an argument with Bhai in Club Tramps/Trumps Club over a woman. The club was owned in part by Bhai and was an illegal discothèque and bar. Bunty Islam, another owner of the club was arrested by Police officers from Detective Branch in 1999 in the murder case.
