After his partnership with Smirnoff He teamed up in a partnership with Elena Khvorova. They were second at their respective 2006 and 2007 World Championships, however, their performances were not the same as his previous results with Smirnoff. Also, his ex-partner, Joanna Leunis started to beat them along with the help of her friend, Michael Malitowski. This could have resulted in the couple’s separation.
In 2009-2010, Slavik Kryklyvyy partnered with Anna Melnikova, then amateur Latin champion, representing Russia in the international arena. Kryklyvyy and Melnikova were guest competitors as Show Performers. The couple were the subject of a feature documentary “Ballroom Dancer”, directed by Christian Holten Bonke and Andreas Koefoed.
It was probably Kryklyvyy’s last chance to reach the top but he and Melnikova could not manage the challenge. They became 3rd in the European Professional Latin Championship and finished 5th in Blackpool and the UK Open. After they split up in 2010, Kryklyvyy started practicing with Daria Chesnokova, but they did not manage to introduce themselves on a competition.
After he became a professional dancer His long-running and successful relationship began with Karina Smirnoff. They was ranked as the second-best couple on the planet after their nine-time WDC top world-class champions Bryan Watson and Carmen Vincelj. Kryklyvyy and Smirnoff separated in 2005. Kryklyvyy as well as her Smirnoff’s partner Smirnoff were part of the documentary Shall We Dance?. Kryklyvyy was named the present Blackpool companion of Paulina (Jennifer Lopez) and also as a dance instructor.

Kryklyvyy along with Joanna Leunis were amateur world champions in International Latin.
