In 2008, Vivian’s debut publication, A Little Friendly Advice came out and shortly thereafter followed by the picture book she co-wrote together with J. Otto Seibold titled Vunce Upon A Time. Vivian’s second novel, Same Difference, which was released in 2009 received Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the year and the The 2012 ALA Best Fiction for Young Adults. The two awards presented to her upcoming book, Not That Kind of Girl as well as an Caroline W. Field Award Nomination. Her most recent novel, The List, inspired by real events from the high school of New Jersey, was published in 2012 and was awarded an award at the ALA 2013 Best Fiction for Young Adults as well as selected as a Junior Library Guild Selection, and was a top seller in France. This novel also was commissioned to MTV along with Stephen Chbosky as executive producer. Vivian’s individual works were released through Push which is an affiliate of Scholastic.
