She completed her acting education through Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh following 4 years of The Manor School of Ballet in Edinburgh and studying in the class of John Marshall. The first of her appearances in the role of an actor was the character in the role of Cathy of Wuthering Heights, a repertory production in The Brunton Theater in Musselburgh.

Raffaello Degruttola on the 10th of May 2003 in her home town from Stirling, Scotland. In October 2005, she gave the birth of their daughter, Skye Lucia Degruttola, who also became an actor. In the year 2010 Lahbib set up The Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund in memory of her niece, who passed away from cancer on the 25th of March, 2010, just nine days before her sixteenth birthday. The fund’s purpose is to assist children who have cancer as well as their families.

In 2017 Lahbib opened her second part-time performing arts school, London Arts Academy in North London. The school teaches singing, dancing and acting to children ages 5–18 years, and affiliated Children and Teen Agency, London Arts Management.
