Shona McIsaac (born 3 April 1960) is a British Labour Party politician. she was the MP (MP) in Cleethorpes from 1997 until 2010. The MP was defeated in the 2010 election by Conservative Candidate Martin Vickers in the 2010 election.
In October 2009, after substantial studies, McIsaac launched a small campaign to draw attention to the deteriorating condition of the war memorials in Britain. Her primary study focused on the memorial to war situated in Wold Newton. Newton is a tiny village within her district. She made a speech on the subject at the House of Commons and an article was published in The Telegraph.
McIsaac is a resident of Cleethorpes along with her partner Peter Keith whom she married in 1994. Keith unsuccessfully challenged her seat at Cleethorpes in the years 2015 and 2017.

She attended SHAPE High School in Mons in Belgium and later Barne Barton Secondary Modern school in St Budeaux and Stoke Damerel High School for Girls located in Stoke, Plymouth, which ended in the year 1986. She was enrolled in an BSc in Geography while studying at St. Aidan’s College of University of Durham, being instructed by David Bellamy, and graduated in 1981.
McIsaac began the political journey as a Councillor for her home town of London Borough of Wandsworth in the Tooting Ward in the year 1990. She was chosen to run in the election for Labour in Cleethorpes by way of an all-women shortlist. She was elected to her Cleethorpes seat in the Cleethorpes region with a plurality of more than 9,900, beating Michael Brown, the sitting MP representing the seat Brigg as well as Cleethorpes. She was elected in 2001 with 5620 votes, and then in 2004 with a majority of 5,620, she was with a margin of over 2,000 votes in front of her Conservative opposition.
In May 2010, she was defeated by Martin Vickers, losing by just over 4,000 votes. Following the general election, she blamed Gordon Brown personally on television for Labour’s defeat.
