Shlomo Molla is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on November 21, 1965 in Begemder, Israel. Molla is a native of a tiny Jewish village with forty families located situated in Gondar Province in Ethiopia in 1965 to a family of 9 brothers and two sisters. Molla was attempting to migrate in Israel in 1984 by the foot after being ostracized through Operation Moses and Operation Joshua. Molla was saved from Israeli soldiers in Sudan as he traveled through Sudan one of his Ethiopian Jews traveling with him was killed and shot at the hands of Sudanese forces. When he arrived in Israel the migrant was taken to an absorption center for immigrants in Tzfat. Infected with malaria on arriving in Israel and he was able to learn Hebrew while in hospital. Following his service as a national as a member of the Israel Defense Forces, he pursued a degree of social service in Bar-Ilan University. In his time at Bar-Ilan University, he served as the co-chairman of the Organization of Ethiopian Students. He also later earned his LLB in the same institution, Ono Academic College.

In 2012, he quit Kadima and joined the newly formed Hatnuah party. He was placed eighth on its list of candidates for 2013 elections He was sacked after the party only won six seats.

In 2006 He was an active participant in the Zionist Executive and head of department at the World Zionist Organization. Prior to the elections in 2006, Molla was placed at the thirty-third spot in Kadima’s lists. After his resignation from Avigdor Yitzhaki in February of 2008, Molla became the second MK with Ethiopian origin. Molla was ranked 19th in the Kadima list for the elections in 2009 and was elected to his seat after the party was able to win 28 mandates.

Shlomo Molla (Hebrew: SHlmh mvlh , Amharic: salomone molaa ; born on 21 November, 1965) is an Israeli politician who was an official in the Knesset for Kadima and Hatnuah between 2008 and 2013. He became Israel’s 2nd MK from Ethiopian origin.

He was appointed in 1991 to was made the head of the Jewish Agency immigrant absorption center in Tiberias In 1995, he was appointed the supervisor of the absorption centers as well as Ulpans in the northern Kibbutzim. In 1996, he was an active member of the Health Ministry’s committee that advises on the conditions of war and, in 1999, Molla was appointed director of the Agency’s Ethiopian Division. The same year, Molla got eighth position on Yisrael BaAliyah’s ballot for elections to the Knesset elections, however the party was able to win only six seats.

In 2015, he encouraged Ethiopian-Israelis to refuse to pay taxes or to serve in the Israeli armed forces to protest racist acts against Ethiopian-Israelis such as the police assault on Demas Fikadey.
