While at university, Zellous was a standout guard for the University of Pittsburgh women’s basketball team from 2005 to 2009. In that time, she was able to guide her team to the WNIT “Final Four” in 2006, as well as three straight NCAA tournament appearances between 2007 and 2009 and her team made it towards the “Sweet Sixteen” in 2008 and 2009. At Pitt she also earned Third Team AP All-American honors in 2009 as well as being named the Big East Conference Most Improved player in 2007. Zellous completed her time at Pitt with a third-place finish on the school’s record-setting scoring list, with 2,253 points.
