Shapov is one of the most popular and richest DJ who was born on January 28, 1989 in Smolensk, Smolensk Oblast, Russia. Alexander Shapovalov (born 28 January 1989 in Smolensk in Russia) more popularly known as Shapov, his stage name Shapov is a Russian DJ and record producer. He was also a part of the electronic group Hard Rock Sofa. His collaborations with Axwell named “Belong” and with Armin van Buuren were titled “The Last Dancer”, “Our Origin”, “La Resistance De L’Amour” and are considered to be among the most well-known works of the musician.

On the 25th of April, 2015 Shapov presented his solo show in The Gold Club in Smolensk. Shapov was backed by his colleagues and friends like Swingy Tunes, Hard Rock Sofa, Matisse & Sadko, Meg & Nerak and Skidka.

In 2015, Alexander left the project Hard Rock Sofa and began his solo career under the stage name Shapov. In the same year he joined the world’s famous British label Axtone Records, which is headed by Axwell.

Early in 2016 Shapov presented the track “Future Rave”, performed in the guest mix recorded for the Diplo & Friends show on BBC Radio 1. Later the composition was released on Axtone Records. That same year, on Axtone Records and Ultra Records labels was released one of the most significant works in the Shapov’s career which was his collaboration called “Belong” with Axwell, a member of the Swedish House Mafia trio.

On October 5, 2015, Shapov put out the second EP , titled “Everybody”. The following month, Shapov released the track “Our World” featuring the American musician and singer Justin Tranter. The track was released in the album of anniversary “Axtone Ten”, dedicated to the decade that marked the Axtone Records’ existence. Alexander began to play with music when he was just 16 years old. In the fall of 2005, he along with fellow producer and DJ Denis Chepikov formed the music project “Hard Rock Sofa”. Then singer Sergey Zuev joined them. While he was part of this project Alexander wrote a variety of songs and some of them were hit songs. The most well-known songs “Here We Go”, “Quasar” (used as the soundtrack to the film Fast and Furious 6) and “Rasputin” were played by the famous band Swedish House Mafia. As part of the group, Alexander played at the biggest music festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Sensation, Electric Zoo, Global Gathering.

On 23 February 2015 Shapov released the extended play on Axtone Records called “Shapov EP”, which included track “Disco Tufli” and collaboration with Meg & Nerak “Party People”. Radio host Danny Howard supported the track “Party People” on «BBC Radio 1» during the three-hour Back 2 Back mix with David Guetta.
