Shane Emmett is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on January 4, 1976 in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. Shane Emmett (born 4 January 1976) is an Australian award-winning presenter, actor, and filmmaker. Emmett is the son of actress Belinda Emmett.

A skilled dancer and singer, Emmett began his career in musical theatre. He gained recognition in 2003 due to his performance as the lead Frank Marlow in the musical Get Happy in Sydney. Emmett is also well-known for his role as Frank Sinatra in the musical From Here to Eternity, Marius in Les Miserables and, most recent, Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music. In the month following his sister Belinda died following a long fight with cancer, Emmett was a guest at his traditional Carols in the Domain (2006). His heartfelt version of “One Sweet Day” (a song that was previously performed by his sister during the Carols) was the main event of the evening, accompanied by footage of Belinda singing along with him.

Emmett is also known for his work as a presenter on the television morning show 9am with David & Kim (2009) as well as Good Morning Australia, GMA and The Morning Show in 2009 and 2011.

Emmett is best known for his TV roles in the past two decades, as Aiden O’Hara in All Saints (1999), Colin Lowndes in Rush (2009), Dr Patrick in Offspring (2010) and Mark Gilmour in Home and Away (2011). Since then , he’s gone to as his role as the director of The Australian Max Newton in the biographical mini-series Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch War as well as Clayton Timms in the Universal TV series Precinct 13.

Emmett was born in Gosford, NSW to Michael and Laraine Emmett and grew up in Umina Beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Emmett is the third from four siblings (Lesley, Belinda and Matthew). Emmett was a student at St John The Baptist primary school in Woy Woy and St Edward’s Christian Brothers College as well as Corpus Christi College, graduating in 1993. Together with Shane, his younger sister Shane has been greatly inspired by the influence of his grandparent James Sakey who was a Big Band jazz singer of the 1960s.

At first, Emmett wanted to pursue the field of journalism. He earned a degree in Communications (BMedia) from Macquarie University in 1998 while Belinda’s career was already under and she was playing performances on Hey Dad..! as well as the film Home and Away. Then, when he acted in short films in the part of his studies that Emmett realized his love was for acting rather than journalism. He immediately began to pursue acting as a profession.

An accomplished and award-winning film-maker, offscreen Emmett has produced and created a number of internationally recognised short films with his filmmaking partner Jason Van Genderen. He won both ‘Best Film’ and ‘People’s Choice Award’ in Tropfest New York in 2008 with the film “Mankind Is No Island”. The film was shot entirely on a cell phone and won Best Short Documentary at the Inside Film Awards in 2009. The team have made 11 films together that have screened all over the world and won numerous awards.
