Sergey Mavrin is one of the most popular and richest Guitarist who was born on February 28, 1963 in Kazan, Russia. in 1997 Sergey suggested to Kipelov (who was with Aria) the opportunity to put the album. In 1997, they released an album titled Kipelov and Mavrin Kipelov and Mavrin – Smutnoye Vremia (“Time of Terrors”) with 10 tracks.
In 2004, Sergey Mavrin reunited his own group. Artem Styrov was able to decide to return, but Harkov continued with Kipelov. Alexander Shwetz from the Russian group Nephilim was chosen as the new bassist. In the same year, Zapreshennaya Realnost (“Forbidden Realness”) became available, and it became the album with the highest commercial success for Mavrin. The group began touring throughout Russia using the new songs. In 2005, Styrov was fired due to his health issues. He was unable to sing during the two hour shows. The successor was an 18-year-old Andrey Lefler. Mavrin and his band participated in Aria’s twentieth-anniversary gig and the bands toured together in Ukraine in the winter of 2005. After that, Mavrin released a new album Otkrovenie (“Revelation”).
In the course of recording The third studio album Himichesky Son (“Chemical Sleep” 2001), Artur Berkut often was not in the studio, and eventually, Sergey had to fire the artist. When Berkut was once asked about his decision to leave Mavrik and then replied: “You’d better ask Lena Mavrina about it,” (meaning Sergey’s wife). Artem Styrov was tapped as the new singer. The album had a heavy, guitar-driven music that was in the genre of heavy metal. Certain tracks remain live favorites of the Mavrin set as of the date of this writing. In the years since Chemical Sleep, all albums were issued through “Sergey Mavrin” as artist rather than “Mavrik”. The decision was made following a consultation with the IronD recording label who suggested they adopt an official name.

The songs on this album would later become the basis for concerts for his new project which he formed in 1998. It was titled “Mavrik” due to his known name. Arthur Berkut (ex-Autograph) joined “Mavrik” as vocalist on the band’s debut album Skitaletz (Wanderer) in which Mavrin performed on guitars, bass as well as keyboards. The album’s genre was heavy/progressive metal. Vladimir Holstinin was a guest guitarist on the album ‘Skitaletz’. The album was released shortly after. and the subsequent tour, Berkut left the band and was taken over by the classically educated singer Stas Vytart.
In 2000 the band released Neformat-1 that was a departure from the hard rock sound of Skitaletz to an experimental direction with indications of a heavier sounding guitar in tracks like “Staya” (“The Pack”), “Ei Chelovek” (“Hey Man”) as well as “V Dikom Pole” (“In the Wild Field”). However Vytart’s stage presence was not in line with the concept of Mavrin’s live show. Consequently, shortly after the album’s release, Vytart was replaced by Berkut who returned to the group and performed a variety of concerts to promote Neformat-1.
