Sergei Trofimov (Russian: Sergei Viacheslavovich Trofimov born on November 4 on the 4th of November, 1966 in Moscow, Russia), and also known as Trofim, the stage name Trofim is a Russian musician, songwriter, and singer and musician from Russia.
From 1973 to 1983, Trofimov worked as a choirmaster with The Moscow State Capella at the Gnessin School. After receiving his diploma of secondary education Sergei began his studies at in the Moscow State Art and Cultural University as well as The Moscow Conservatory, specializing in composition and theory. At the age of 19, Sergei was a participant at the 12th World Festival of Youth and Students that occurred in the year 1985, in Moscow, the capital city of the USSR in Moscow, where he was awarded the diploma. Due to financial issues, Sergei Trofimov became an entertainer in an eatery.
Sergei’s concert activity began in 1994. Initially, Trofimov came forward as the author of musical compositions for Alexander Ivanov’s disk “Sinful Soul of Sorrow”. For solo work, Sergei chose the creative pseudonym “Trofim”. The first albums of the singer “Aristocracy of the Garbage Dump 1” and “Aristocracy of the Garbage Dump 2” were produced by Stepan Razin.
