Sepideh was born in Tehran, Iran and moved with her family to the Washington D.C. area in the latter part of the 1980s. She began singing in a group called Setareh when she was still in high school. She then after graduation, she joined a group known as Mask. The group performed shows across the eastern coast and the United States for several years before moving from the east coast to Los Angeles, CA in 1997 to pursue an occupation in full-time music. She is still within LA. Los Angeles area with her husband and they do not have children.

After making the move into Los Angeles in 1997, Sepideh landed her first big break when she met one of the longest renowned and well-known Persian production companies ever the late Mr. Shahbal Shabpareh. Sepideh first began cooperating together with Shahbal in 1998 after she was asked to become the vocalist in Silhouettt, an all female Persian vocal band Silhouettt (aka Silhouettte) . In 1999, shortly after their album “Beauty and the Beat” was released. Sepideh had recorded all vocals on the album. Silhouettt was the opening act for Shahbal’s group Black Cats, performing concerts across the globe in support this album. Then the year 2004, Sepideh made her debut solo release “Girl in the Mirror” with director Ramin Zamani. It was followed by releasing her follow-up album “No Fear,” produced by Schubert Avakian. Her music style and appearance as well as stage performance has led media outlets to draw comparisons between her and Colombian performer Shakira. While she has not released full-length albums since 2007 Sepideh has released a variety of singles since 2007.
