Satomi Takasugi is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on July 11, 1985 in Tokyo, Japan. Satomi Takasugi (Gao Shan satoMei, Takasugi Satomi born the 11th of July, 1985, in Tokyo) is known as a Japanese pop artist, race queen and an ex-gravure idol. She is signed to the Avex Trax Sub-label Rhythm Zone and represented by the agency that represents talent, Platinum Production. She was once a member of the Avex girl group With and other famous gravure stars Chinatsu Wakatsuki, Iori, and Kana Hoshino.
As of 2008, Takasugi debuted her debut album, Garden which contained all of her singles from 2007 and a brand new song, “Issho ni”, that was released that same date. The following day, Takasugi staged her first live concert as a solo performer, Garden Party, in which she performed tunes from the album. The following year, she sang in the song that was the soundtrack for 25th anniversary of the Disney Tokyo resort “Maho no Kagi: The Dream Goes On”, and also the theme song of Suikoden Tierkreis, the Nintendo DS video game Suikoden Tierkreis, “Tears in the Sky”.
In 2010, Takasagi decided to take a different approach with the release of her music, opting to release three singles – “Sakurairo”, “Now!”, and “Futatsu no Sora” – digitally rather than on the traditional CD format, although all three singles eventually made their way onto her third album. Mascara, which was released in three editions – an album-only edition, an album and DVD edition, and an album and photobook edition.
After a hiatus, Takasugi released a new single, “Kimagure Dolce”, in 2012.
In 2007 Takasugi debuted her debut single “Tabibito”, which was used as the theme track of the movie Saiyuki that was inspired by the Chinese folk story Journey to the West. “Tabibito” reached number 10 on the Oricon charts, and ultimately sold more than 40000 copies. After being invited to take part in “a-nation ’07”, where Takasaugi performed and promote herself in various locations throughout Japan and then dropped her follow-up single “Hyakurenka”, which was featured as the final theme for the NTV shows The Sunday and Adult no Shikaku.

The year 2001 was when Takasugi became known in Shibuya through The Platinum Production agency. When he was still in high school, at 16 years old Takasugi, in 2002, along together with Chinatsu Wakatsuk, Iori, and Kana Hoshino formed the group known as the gravure idol With. Alongside acting as gravure idols they also performed in their Avex label. The group then went on to make a photobook, but the group quickly disbanded, with very little success.
The year 2006 was the time that Takasugi performed her debut live performance “Rhythm Nation 2006” sponsored by Avex performing an original cover of Yoshiyuki Osawa’s “Soshite Boku wa Toho ni Kureru”. The track was made available for promotion on radio as well as other media. Takasugi was later an element of Rhythm Zone, a sub-label of Avex which focuses on urban music.
In 2009, Takasugi released her second album, Prism, which contained all her 2008 singles as well as a couple of new songs.
