Yusta was part of nine appearances in his Spanish Under-16 National Team, scoring an average of 13.3 scores, 5.2 rebounding, 2.0 assists and 2.1 steals in a game when they won the European championship in 2013. The following year, Yusta steered his Spanish U17 national squad to semifinals of the World Championships, putting up averages of 14.1 points and 3.9 boards per game. Yusta was also a part of Spain in the U18 European Championships in 2015 and was a crucial part of the squad that took silver during the 2016 U20 European Championships. He averaged 10.7 points per game in the tournament, and pulled down 5.4 rebound per game as well as giving out 2.4 assists and bagging 2.1 steals per game.
In July of 2015 the player made the move from Madrid to the fellow ACB club Obradoiro in an agreement for three years with Obradoiro. In his first season at Obradoiro the club, he was named on the ACB’s All-Star Best Young Players Team.
After coming through the youth ranks of Club Baloncesto Torrejón and Real Madrid, Yusta made his debut for Real’s second men’s team in the fourth-tier of Spanish basketball, EBA, during the 2013-14 season. In the course of the 2014-15 season, he logged his first minutes in the ACB, Spain’s top league, and helped Real’s youth squad win the 2015 Euroleague Next Generation Tournament title.
