Said “Samy” Naceri (French”sami naseRi,” born on July 2, 1961) is a French actor who is famous for his roles as a character actor in four Taxi films as well as The Code (La Mentale).

Naceri was the son of Naceri’s Algerian Berber Kabyle father and his French mom in France’s 4th district in Paris in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. He spent most of his youth within his Parisian suburb of Fontenay-sousBois. Naceri’s brother is Bibi Naceri, who wrote and starred in the international smash movie District 13. He won the award in the category of Best Actor for his role in the film Days of Glory at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

On November 5, 2005 while waiting for a guest who was late, Naceri attacked a 22-year-old man who was smoking an ashtray in an upscale Paris restaurant. The actor was found guilty of assault and sentenced to two months in prison. The actor was freed in the month of February. In December 2006, the prisoner was convicted of the racially-motivated abuse he had directed at police officers. In January 2007, he was convicted of attempted murder following the stabbing of an officer in Aix-en-Provence. His sentence was nine months of prison (6 months with a suspended sentence) for assault and sentenced to a month behind bars for assaulting the two security guards at the medical center in which he was treated for an overdose of drugs.
