Quinto designed the first Latin Jazz course for Jazz School North, Porto – the first school that was professional Jazz recognized to be accredited in Portugal in addition to being the first school within the Iberian Peninsula to have the course in Instrumental Professional Jazz at that time. In addition , he was asked to serve as an artistic director at one of Portugal’s most renowned jazz Portuguese clubs B-flat.
His first symphonic composition, written in 2011, was the Symphony No. 1 in A flat Major “Pascha Aeternam” for the Orchestra, Chorus and soloists in 4 parts, that has emphasis on Easter.
In 2012 he returned to Brazil leaving momentarily aside his career as a concert performer and educator for Music Minister at the Second Baptist Church in Mossoro, Rio Grande do Norte. He wrote the Christmas Oratorio for Choir in 5 suits and Symphony; his second symphony, the Symphony 2 in C Minor, titled “Symphony Lightly Beautiful” for choir and Orchestra in five suits, yet the Motet angelic, inspired by the motets of Bruckner to 5 suits; string Quartet; Opera Samson and Delilah (unfinished).
Samuel Quinto published his first CD “Latin Jazz Thrill” in 2007 in Portugal and a trio (Bass, Piano , and Drums) and forms the basis of his repertoire. He performed it at numerous performances and festivals throughout 2007 , 2008, in Portugal as well as during his tour of 2008 cities such as Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Heilbronn, Liege and Limoges as well as an exclusive concert in Salvador in collaboration with Salvador’s Catholic University of Salvador in June 2008. His compositions are utilized in the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ESMAE) as part of the undergraduate degree programs in Jazz as study material to train Jazz students.

Samuel Quinto Feitosa FRSA (born on September 5 1973) is a Brazilian – Portuguese pianist playing gospel, jazz, pop and classical music as well as a conductor, music producer composer, arranger as well as a public speaker, writer, educator, and entrepreneur who has been living since 2014 in Sao Paulo since 2014. Quinto was raised in Salvador in the city where he began to develop his style of music mostly on piano. In 2018, he enrolled in Ph.D. Digital Media Art which was a program created through the Department of Science and Technology – Portuguese Open University in collaboration together with Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the University of Algarve, both of which are world-class Portuguese open universities. He was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts – London the title which allows the right to name FRSA after the name given to him by the British Crown. In the year 2019, he assumes the musical and performing arts management for the United Nations Baptist Church in Sao Paulo, an invitation from Baptist pastor Luis Sayao. He was asked to become an Assistant Professor in Laureate International University.
In the year 2004, Samuel Quinto moved to Portugal and began teaching jazz piano and Latin jazz in the city of Porto and also participating in jazz festivals and concerts. He later founded his “Samuel Quinto Trio” and tour across Portugal as well as Spain. He was also a pianist for the School of Ginasiano Dance (classical and contemporary ballet) in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.
The second CD entitled “Salsa ‘n Jazz”, containing eight original compositions by Samuel Quinto, and the standard Stella by Starlight was launched in June 2009 at a concert in the city of Oporto, during his tour through Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and England. In this second work, Samuel was accompanied by another Brazilian – classically trained Marcos Borges on bass – and Manuel Santiesteban, Cuban drummer.
