Samuel Oghale Oboh (born March 27 1971) is an Canadian architect manager, leader, and the President of 2015 for the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Oboh has been the very first Canadian of African descent who was elected as the President of the Alberta Chapter of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada in 2007. in 2015 Alberta Venture identified him as among Alberta Venture’s 50 Most influential people in Alberta. In 2016 Oboh took on a diplomatic position in Canada as the Honorary Consul of Botswana Republic of Botswana] in Canada.

As a design architect, Oboh was involved in a variety of projects as he worked with FMA Architects Southern Africa, IBI Group and Kasian Architecture. He is a licensed architect registered within the State of Texas, United States, in the province of Alberta, Canada, and earlier as a licensed architect in South Africa. He was involved in projects like The International Law Enforcement Academy in Botswana and, in collaboration with the Government of the United States of America and The Alberta Legislature Centre Redevelopment Master Plan in which he was involved Alberta’s most important heritage site. In addition, in a brief period of time of his appointment as Government of Canada – PWGSC Western Region’s senior engineer, Oboh led the establishment of a brand new Architecture and Engineering Centre of Expertise.

Oboh was a visiting lecturer for his Department of Architecture at Durban University of Technology as well as in the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He was also an adjunct design critic and reviewer for studios for both the University of Calgary and Carleton University in Ottawa and Ottawa Canada and was an Chartered architect as a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) between 2000 and 2007. On May 16 15th, 2015. Oboh was awarded the Presidential Medal from the American Institute of Architects and an award for President by the Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) as an honorary member.
