After three years with the label, My Name is Samantha Jade was never released. In 2007 Jade co- wrote and sang back-up vocals on the track “Positivity” on Ashley Tisdale’s debut album Headstrong. The following year, Jade co-wrote and sang back-up vocals on the song “Can’t Walk Away” on Tiffany Evans’ album Tiffany Evans.

Her family relocated to Australia into Los Angeles in 2003 so that she could pursue a singing career. Later, she returned to Perth before moving to Sydney.
