Sadhan Chandra Majumder is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on July 17, 1950 in Niamatpur Upazila, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Majumder was born in Rajshahi Division, at Shibpur in Niamatpur Upazila on 17 July 1950. His father Kamini Kumar Majumder, was the headmaster at Shibpur Government Primary School. Sadhan was in sixth grade when Kamini passed away. He was a teacher as well as a farmer who sold rice for a living. Sabitri Bala Majumder, his mother was a housewife. His family includes eight other siblings. Naogaon Government College awarded him a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. He began his career as a farmer after he graduated.
Majumder was defeated by Dr. Chhalek Chuudhury, Bangladesh National Party, in 2001 and 1996 general elections from Naogaon-1 constituency. He defeated Choudhury in 2008 and was elected to 9th Jatiya Sangsad, his first election. He was elected to a committee that investigated corruption in Barind’s development projects. He was a member the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs in the 10th Jatiya Sangsad. He was elected to parliament for the third consecutive time in 2018. His closest rival Mustafizur Rahman was defeated by him with 46,228 votes.
Majumder had been married to Chandana Majumder (d. 1993). They have four daughters.

Sadhan Chandra Majumder, a Bangladeshi politician, was born 17 July 1950. He is currently the Minister of Food and Member of Jatiya Sangsad for Naogaon-1 constituency. He is the first cabinet minister to be elected from Niamatpur Upazila.
Majumder joined Chhatra League, the youth wing of Awami League, while he was studying at college. He was elected chairman of Hajinagar Union in 1984. He was elected chairman, Niamatpur Upazila Parishad five years later.
On 7 January 2019, Majumder took oath as Food Minister of Bangladesh. He became the first person from Niamatpur Upazila to become a cabinet minister.
