Ryan Vincent Peters, born 21 August 1987, is an English semi- professional footballer who is now assistant manager at Maidenhead United. After his release in 2008, he moved to non-league football. He started his career at Brentford.

Peters returned to Brentford in 2012 to work for the club’s Community Sports Trust. He coached Brentford Women from May 2015 to May 2017. Peters joined National League South club Maidenhead United in May 2015 as a player-first coach. He was promoted to assistant manager at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season.

Peters was a Brentford player and had loan spells at Conference Premier clubs Gravesend & Northfleet and Crawley Town. He also played for Isthmian League Premier Division club AFC Wimbledon. In October 2007, he was loaned to Margate, Isthmian league Premier Division club. He then joined the club as a permanent transfer in January 2007. In 2009, he moved to Conference South to join Braintree Town. One season later, the Iron won their first Conference South title. After four more seasons at Braintree Town, he left Cressing Road after the 2014-15 season. He had played 202 games and scored two goals. Peters returned to the National League South in May 2015 to follow Alan Devonshire, former Braintree Town manager. He joined Maidenhead United in May 2015. He helped the Magpies to the National League South title in his second season.

Peters began his career as a forward/winger. He then moved to the Brentford youth team and became the first team during 2004-05 League One season. On 21 August 2004, he made his senior debut in the 51-minute replacement for Jay Tabb. In the match that followed, he made his debut for the club, playing 54 minutes in a 2-0 League Cup First Round defeat to Ipswich Town. He was then substituted for Jay Tabb. Peters signed a one year professional contract with the option to extend his contract for another year. This was effective as of the end of 2004-05. In a 3-3 draw against Sheffield Wednesday, 25 February 2005, Peters scored his first senior goal. Peters ended the 2004-05 season having made 12 appearances and scored one goal.

Peters was not able to make it into the first team during the 2005-06 or 2006-07 seasons. He was then dismissed by Terry Butcher, who appointed him as Brentford’s new manager in 2007. After making six appearances during the first two months 2007-08 season, he was released on loan. Peters played 47 games at Griffin Park and scored two goals in three-and-a half seasons.
