Ryan Madsen Millar, born 22 January 1978, is an American volleyball player. He was a member the United States men’s volleyball team from 1998 to 2008, and was a participant in the Olympic Games (2000-2004, 2008), 2008 Olympic Champion, and three times NORCECA Champion.
Millar was born in San Dimas (California). In 2001, he graduated from Brigham Young University.
He played at the 2000 Olympics as well as the 2004 Olympics and 2008 Olympics. The 2000 Olympic tournament was a disappointment for the U.S. men. They failed to win one match. At Athens, Millar was a key player in helping the USA men finish fourth. He was fourth in scoring during the Olympics with 70 points, 53 kills and 16 blocks. Millar was instrumental in Team USA winning the 2008 gold medal.

He was the Volleyball Magazine National Freshman Of The Year in 1996 and was a Third Team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation player (MPSF) in 1999. He was the MPSF Player-of-the-Year in 1999 and was an All-American First Team American Volleyball Coaches Association. He was second in the country in blocks per match (2.02) in 1998. This led to him being a Second Team All- American in 1999. He led BYU to its first ever NCAA Men’s Volleyball Championship in 1999. This was the culmination of his career. He was a First Team All-American once more. His hitting percentage (.498), and blocks per match (2.14) were the highest in the country.
Millar was a volleyball player at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah from 1996 to 1999.
In July 2006, Millar was named as an assistant coach for the BYU men’s volleyball team under Head Coach Tom Peterson. In August 2006, Millar was named co-interim head coach of the BYU men’s volleyball team after Peterson’s sudden resignation.
