Brawley participated in the sixth installment, televised live by Sky Sports, of the Prizefighter Series franchise. He had an unbeaten record (9-0). This tournament featured boxers from the lightweight division and was held at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow. It was also the first time that the tournament had ever been held in Scotland. Brawley won the tournament, taking home the first prize of PS25,000. Brawley was an amateur fighter who fought under John Mullen for the springside amateur boxing club. He won 50 of 58 fights, won 5 Scottish titles, 2 British titles, and won the 4 countries. Brawley represented Scotland at the 2003 junior European championships, one of two repesentitives from Scotland David Ellis the other. Both boxers lost their opening bouts.
