Palo Alto’s first RUTI retail store opened on October 5, 2009. Nicole Hollis, an interior designer based in San Francisco, designed the second boutique on Fillmore Street. The third boutique opened was Santa Monica, designed by Karina Thomanek and Philipp Thomanek (Israel). Berkeley, on 4th St. was the 4th RUTI boutique that opened. In 2013, the Venice store was opened on Abbot Kinney Street, a vibrant area. RUTI launched an eCommerce website late 2014, building on the success of their brick and mortar boutiques. RUTI established a new HQ and showroom in Belmont (CA) where all the development and design of the RUTI brand is done. New boutiques will open in Scottsdale and Miami in 2018, in an effort to maintain the direct-to-consumer strategy.
