The Cavaliers later released him on October 22, 2009.

In November 2011, Robinson signed with Trabzonspor for the rest of the 2011–12 season.
Robinson was undrafted in 2008 NBA Draft. He joined the Houston Rockets to play in 2008 NBA Summer League. Robinson averaged 3.3 point and 1.7 rebounds per game. Robinson later joined Erdemirspor in Turkey, where he played during the three-day Erdemirspor basketball tournament. After the tournament, he left and returned to the United States.

Robinson’s four-year college basketball career at Kansas saw him play 134 games (107 starts), averaging 7.1 points and 2.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He was a sophomore in 2005-06 and earned All-Defensive Team honors from the Big 12. As a senior in 2007, he helped Kansas win its 2008 NCAA championship.
The Reno Bighorns selected Robinson in the second round, 2008 NBA Development League Draft. He averaged 12.3 points per game, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 50 games (35 starts) during 2008-09.
In July 2010, Robinson joined the Indiana Pacers for the Orlando Summer League and the NBA D-League Select Team for the Las Vegas Summer League. On August 3, 2010, he signed a one-year deal with DKV Joventut of the Liga ACB.
