Russ Rankin, the lead singer for melodic hardcore bands Only Crime and Creep Division, as well as punk rock band Good Riddance, is Russ Rankin. Both bands were signed by Fat Wreck Chords, but Good Riddance broke up on April 3, 2007. Good Riddance reformed in February 2012. Rankin was also a member of Fury 66, and State of Grace. He has also contributed his voice to songs written by Ensign, Rise Against, and Comeback Kid. Rankin also spends his time producing bands. He recently performed a cover version of “Walk the Line” by Johnny Cash for All Aboard: A Tribute To Johnny Cash. Rankin was featured in Meditate and Destroy, an independent documentary that focuses exclusively on Noah Levine, Dharma Punx author. The film features Rankin and his band Good Riddance performing at Santa Cruz’s Catalyst club.
