Rezabek, a guitarist and bassist in punk San Francisco band Negative Trend, formed the group with Craig Gray (later known as Toiling Midgets), and Will Shatter (later known as Flipper). Before the release of their recordings, he left the band in march 1978.
Rezabek founded the Portland new wave band Theatre of Sheep in 1980. They were very popular locally, but didn’t make it to a larger audience. Greg Sage, the leader of Portland’s punk band, The Wipers, produced and engineered their 1983 cassette-only album, A Cathartic Aquacade. Theatre of Sheep released their 12″ debut extended play, A Quiet Crusade on their Sheepish label. In 1983, Theatre of Sheep also released Theatre of Sheep’s Greatest Hits, a cassette-only collection. In 1984, the band split up. Theatre of Sheep was later recorded on the 2006 compilation album Old Flames.
In 1999, Rezabek released his first solo studio album, Lover Legend Liar.
