Horan is most well-known for his roles as Lewis in the 1981 martial arts film Game of Death II and Priest/Russian in the 1978 martial arts movie Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow.
After the completion of Shanghai 1920, Horan, now 41, retired from acting in 1991. Horan is currently an adjunct assistant professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Roy is the founder and CEO of Innovea Ltd. A company that trains/consults on higher-order thinking and creative and mindful methods for improving performance and well-being, Roy is also the CEO. He also tackles social emotional learning for learning disabled children and trains others to develop an environmentally-friendly mindset. Roy developed the Ocean Model, which combines empirical research on creativity and intelligence with Eastern philosophical ideas. He did electrophysiological research on the neuropsychological connection between creativity and meditation. He also investigated the problem in creativity assessment and developed the Creative Momentum Model as a tool to assess creative achievement. Roy also created new psychometric tools for measuring core competencies (Integral Psychological Profile), creativity (Information Boundaries Recognition Test, UnusualGratitude), and stress/resilience profile(StressQuest).

Horan’s film debut was in the 1976 film Bruce Lee’s Secret, as Charlie. Horan was also cast as Tolstoy in the 1977 movie Snuff Bottle Connection and the Russian priest in the 1978 movie Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow with Jackie Chan, Hwang Jang Lee and Hwang Jang.
Horan starred in 1981’s Game of Death II as Lewis, along with Tong Lung, Hwang Jang Lee and Hwang Jang Le. Horan was also the director of the 1981 documentary Art of High Impact Kicking. Horan was the American Consular in No Retreat, No Surrender 2 (1987), which he co-wrote and produced with Loren Avedon, Matthias Hues, Max Thayer, Cynthia Rothrock, and Hwang Jang Lee.
Horan’s daughter Celina Jade made her film debut in 2008’s Legendary Assassin along with Tai Chi Boxer and Fatal Contact film star Wu Jing.
