Based on the concept music album, Golan created The Wrong Man. It is about a man wrongly accused for a crime in Reno, Nevada. Golan starred in a one-man production of the show that ran in Los Angeles from February 2014. It received three Ovation Award nominations and won three of the four Ovation Award winners. The musical was then moved to New York City. It opened Off-Broadway on September 18, 2019, and will continue at the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space through November 24, 2019. Tony nominees and Tony winners Tommy Kail, Alex Lacamoire, and Joshua Henry were part of the full-cast stage production. The Wrong Man received 9 Drama Desk Awards nominations, including Best Musical and 3 Lucille Lotel Awards nominations. Golan received the Outer Critics Circle Award in recognition of his best original score.

Interscope Records released the concept album worldwide on 26 July 2019. The animated movie adaptation, written and performed Golan, made it to the big screens. In April 2019, the movie premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.

Golan signed multiple records deals with Insider Trading Corporation/EMI in

2003. This was the first record deal he had. It was a label he founded while still in high school. Reagan Baby was released by the label’s former president Phil Quatararo. Golan then co-founded Glacier Hiking. The band had a hybrid publishing/label agreement with Lionsgate. They released an EP titled “Reagan Baby” before disbanding in 2009.
