Ron Frenz is one of the most popular and richest Artist who was born on February 1, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Born February 1, 1960, Ronald Wade Frenz is an American comics artist best known for his work with Marvel Comics. He is best known for his 1980s work with The Amazing Spider-Man, and later his Spider-Girl work which he co-created along writer Tom DeFalco. Frenz and DeFalco previously co-created New Warriors in Thor’s pages.

Frenz was the Superman artist when he moved to DC Comics in 1995. He was also one of many creators to Superman: The Wedding Album, where the title character married Lois Lane. Superman got a new costume, and superpowers in Superman Vol. 2 #123 (May 1997). Frenz created part of the Superman Red/Superman Blue One-shot, which launched the storyline that ran through all the Superman titles.

On June 4, 2009 Ron Frenz was the recipient of the 2009 Nemo Award for Excellence in the Cartoon Arts.

In 2017, Ron Frenz and long-time inking collaborator Sal Buscema began working on The Blue Baron, written by Darin Henry and published by the new company Sitcomics.

Jim Owsley was the Spider-Man titles editor at the time. He noted that Frenz was passionate about Spider-Man and even fanatical. Owsley removed Frenz and DeFalco from The Amazing Spider-Man in 1986. Frenz and DeFalco were the original creative team for Thor in 1987. They introduced Eric Masterson’s character in Thor #391 (May 1988). DeFalco, Frenz and Eric Masterson would later create Thunderstrike from him.

Frenz started working at Marvel Comics in 1980. Frenz’s first work includes titles like Ka-Zar, Star Wars and The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones. Ka- Zar The Savage #16 (July 1982) was his first published credit story for Marvel.

Frenz was appointed the regular artist for The Amazing Spider-Man in 1984. His stories included “The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man”, issue #248 (Jan. 1984), and the debut of Spider-Man wearing a black costume in issue #252, May 1984. The Puma was introduced in issue #256 (Sept. 1985) and the Silver Sable in issue #265 (June 1986). Frenz and Tom DeFalco discovered that the “black suit”, which was a disguise for an alien creature, appeared in issue #258 (Nov. 1985). Frenz drew The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #18, 1984, a Stan Lee story that featured the wedding of Spider-Man support characters J. Jonah Jameson & Marla Madison. Frenz was originally brought on to the series as a temporary replacement for John Romita Jr. but he was eventually retained after it became clear that he matched well with DeFalco. Frenz recounted:

Frenz returned to Marvel with the Spider-Man: Hobgoblin Lives limited series, written by Roger Stern, in 1997. DeFalco and Frenz reunited and introduced Spider-Girl in What If … ? vol. 2 #105 (Feb. 1998). Spider-Girl became an ongoing series in October 1998 and ran until issue #100 (Sept. 2006). A new series, The Amazing Spider-Girl, was launched the following December, Frenz drew all 30 issues until the series’ cancellation in 2009.
