Ronald Houdini Dorsey, born November 2, 1983, is an American former professional basketball athlete. After playing two seasons of college basketball at McNeese State, the 6’6″ swingman moved to Europe where he played in France, Lithuania, and Finland. Most notable is his time in Australia and New Zealand where he led the Cairns Taipans and Auckland Pirates to victory in the 2011 Australian NBL Grand Final.

Dorsey signed with Etendard de Brest in 2009 and returned to the Pro B. Due to a shoulder injury in January 2010, he only managed half of a season with Etendard. He averaged 12.6 points per game and 3.1 rebounds in 15 games.

On May 25, 2011, Dorsey signed a two-year deal with the Melbourne Tigers. After averaging 11 points per game in 2011–12, he was released from the second year of his contract.

On December 21, 2012, Dorsey signed with Rosa Radom of the Polish Basketball League. He spent the rest of the 2012–13 season with the Polish club, where he averaged 5.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16 games.

Dorsey left the US in 2007 to move to France with SPO Rouen Basket, LNB Pro B. He averaged 16.6 rebounds and 4.6 points per game in 2007-08. He helped Rouen finish the season first, and was then promoted to the Pro A for 2008-09. He was still with the team in 2008-09, averaging 12.5 points per match.

Detroit native Dorsey played two years of junior college at Schoolcraft College before signing in April 2003 with McNeese State’s men’s basketball team. Dorsey averaged just 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game over two seasons with the Cowboys.

Between 2005-2007, Dorsey enjoyed two great seasons in Finland and Lithuania. He averaged 23 points per match for Kauhajoen Karhu and 15 for Neptunas between 2005-06. Neptunas finished third in the regular season and advanced to the playoffs, the most in club history.

Dorsey marked a special place in the club’s history after draining a miraculous long three-pointer to send Game 2 of the 2011 NBL Grand Final series against the New Zealand Breakers into double overtime. Despite winning that game, they lost the series 2–1, but that didn’t stop Dorsey’s heroics going down in club folklore. In 33 games for the Taipans in 2010–11, he averaged 13.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
